Warning! - MyEtherWallet website has been hacked - Beware!
Hundred of thousands USD have been stolen. As of now, it seems the hack is over but I would advise you to be careful.
A user of the MyEtherWallet reported on Reddit that their wallet has been hacked for .09 ETH.
On the Ethereum subreddit :
“Do not use myetherwallet.com if you’re using Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) at this moment, it seems these DNS servers are resolving the domain to a bad server that CAN steal your keys!”
If you used MyEtherWallet today, look on Reddit to find a solution to be sure your cryptos are safe.
This is so messed up. Btw, this is the same attack that was deployed against EtherDelta a few months ago.
Decentralized apps need they own clients, they can't run on domains as there is no way to protect against these DNS hijacking attacks.

I have very serious concerns with the security, or the lack of security, of MyEtherWallet.
not much MEW can do, its the DNS's that are attacked, and it seems even google and amazon routes get compramised ;/

You really just can't win with money. If you carry cash, you can get mugged. Credit cards get stolen, and hackers never appear to sleep.
anything online can be hacked. just have to be careful not to leave your passwords lying around. we can't prevent the hackers but what we can do is try to deter them from us so that they turn their attention elsewhere.
