US Energy Secretary's Prank Call About Pig Manure

US Energy Secretary Rick Perry was caught up in a prank call by a Russian duo, who tricked him into discussing a fake biofuel technology made from alcohol and pig manure.

Vladimir Krasnov and Alexei Stolyarov, also known as the Jerky Boys of Russia, called up Mr Perry and pretended to be the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Perry, believing that it was the president decided to continue the discussion, even though it slightly aroused his suspicion at the seeming idiocy of the idea. At one point of the conversation, he had even mentioned that the idea was "interesting" and that he was looking forward to talking about it when the president visited the US in August.

The Energy department spokeswoman Shaylyn Hynes has confirmed this conversation and has defended Perry by saying that he had genuinely taken the call with the intention of talking about coal exports.
