Indonesian agriculture entered the top 25

  

Minister of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman, said that Indonesia's agriculture is the world's 25th largest or only Southeast Asian country included in the Food Sustainability Index (FSI).

Countries listed in the 25 lists must meet the 2/3 population of the world and already account for 87 percent of the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the World.

The rating is the result of an international economic research and analysis institute based in the UK, The Economist Intelligent Unit (EIU) and the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition (BCFN) Foundation.

Both institutions released the Food Sustainability Index in December 2016. Indonesia is ranked 21 out of 113 countries with a score of 50.77 after Brazil and is above the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and India.
