Well, how easy to speak up when your job, your life, is on the line?
Fire fighters in Kalifornia would like to say, "Them fires ain't normal", but none dare speak. Because those fires were probably created by a dark group that holds their jobs in the palm of their hands.
I have always spoken my mind. If you can't on the job, find another job. If you can't find another job, and your standard of living is impacted, adapt.
Always be true to yourself, and sound principles. Make your way in the world, do not follow a path set for you by those that would profit from your work.
Thanks!

We are now enduring the coldest millennium in 10,000 years
pesky facts.
Yup. Weather changes, has for thousands of years.

yup..so why get exercised over something we can't control?
True.
Of course climate change is real. Nothing is static. Everything changes.
I took a little time to read the article, and it was worth it.
I just met Guus Berkhout, thanks to this article, and it seems to me the voice of reason. I just wish that he and the others who are like him, because there are more, have at least a fraction of the publicity, funding and preponderance that those who are now at the top of the scientific community have. Surely we would see great and positive changes.
He said many things that I could quote now, but I'll stick with the following:
The subject has clear ideas, and I agree with everything he said. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.
I paraphrase someone whose name I do not recall: 'The more we know, the more we know how little we know.'
Thanks!
I've noticed that, too. Read Anton Uriarte: Climate History of the Earth, p. 165 and you'll find the answer what's wrong, besides scientists that have sold their souls and the lives of the living beings on Earth.
If there are no problems to resolve, how would the populist whores garner votes? If there are no crises, how would factional bureaucracy secure funding? If the mob isn't discontented, how will the merchant gnomes peddle shiny new baubles? At the core of the mordern world's ills is the revolt of the unlettered peasants grasping beyond their reach and station. Mismanagement of society by unqualified, populist, myopic fools is the natural consequence of a sociopolitical system that allow for the ignorant muck to dictate to their betters their whims as political policy.
I largely agree with your considerations here, but would include the caveat that democracy is merely the appearance of allowing the public to dictate policy, which is safely in the hands of the rich and powerful.
People have been indoctrinated for their entire lives, and only recently has access to voices from all points across the globe, and from every station in life become available to reveal the lies. Censorship is an attempt to prevent their awakening, and there is a reason it is being done. People have been fooled, but are able to act reasonably when provided sound information and break free from their mental prisons.
Otherwise, there'd be no reason to fear them.
Thanks!
