White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders apologized Tuesday for providing "inaccurate statistics" about the number of jobs created for African-Americans under the Obama administration.

During Tuesday's press conference, Sanders claimed that only 195,000 jobs had been created under the Obama administration for African-Americans during his full 8 years in office. In actuality, the number is nearly 3 million jobs.

Late Tuesday evening, Sanders tweeted:
"Correction from today’s briefing: Jobs numbers for Pres Trump and Pres Obama were correct, but the time frame for Pres Obama wasn’t," Sanders tweeted Tuesday night in a rare walkback from a Trump administration official.

"I’m sorry for the mistake, but no apologies for the 700,000 jobs for African Americans created under President Trump," she added".

She did not provide any specific details on what "time frame" the 195,000 jobs were added under the Obama administration and seemingly attempted to pass responsibility for the error onto the White House Council of Economic Advisors as she included a quoted tweet from the CEA which stated, "Apologies for @WhiteHouseCEA's earlier miscommunication to @PressSec".

Sanders cited the "inaccurate statistics" in response to questions from the press as to whether President Trump had ever used the "n-word" following allegations that he had done so by Mrs Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former White house employee and participant on president Trump's tv show, "The Apprentice".

When asked if she could guarantee that Americans will never a hear a tape of President Trump using the "n-word" Sanders replied that she, "can't guarantee anything" before trying to shift the conversation to economic gains under Trump.

"This is a president who is fighting for all Americans, who is putting policies that help all Americans, particularly African-Americans," Sanders said. "Just look at the economy alone."

My Commentary:
I don't understand how anyone can look at Trump and his actions and not CLEARLY see the racism inherent in his administration. But then again, his supporters somehow don't see the bias against women, the poor, immigrants, etc... so I guess why should this be any different?

Don lemon made a great point last night on CNN when he said even if the tape DOES exist of him using the "n-word", what is that REALLY going to change?

We have him on tape calling Mexicans criminals and rapists, openly discussing sexually assaulting women while Billy Bush laughs and cheers him on, he's on tape mocking the handicapped and calling black athletes who protest police violence "sons of bitches".

And yet his supporters will defend him fiercely, insisting that neither he nor they are racist or sexist.

But actions speak louder than words.
