The Kremlin reacted to the demand of Kiev to dissolve the DPR and LPR

The idea of Kiev to dissolve the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics (DPR and LPR) came as a surprise to other participants in the "Norman format", and it is still difficult to comment on it, said spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. He is quoted by RIA Novosti on Wednesday, October 16.

“Does this mean a departure from the Minsk agreements, from the Minsk action plan, does this mean a refusal of earlier commitments, from previously signed signatures - is not yet clear,” Peskov said.

On the eve, information appeared that Kiev would fulfill the political part of the Minsk agreements only after the DPR and LPR were dissolved.

In turn, the Russian senators found the statement of the Ukrainian side strange. In particular, Crimean Senator Sergei Tsekov said that the appearance of a new paragraph is a gross violation. He accused Kiev of inconsistency.
