This has been going on for ages. The same PR, spin and lobby groups create content, which is handed to mainstream media cough "journalists", who pass it off as their own work. In some cases don't even bother to edit the material.
Ed, can you try uploading your videos on d.tube? I am on Steemit to avoid Youtube as much as possible.

Just keep in mind dtube takes 25% of your post rewards for using their service. So one hour to download/upload a 10 min video mehhh. Youtube unfortunatly is still too fast and helpful for video storage and uploads. And they dont take my post rewards.

I am not sure what you mean? I was trying to figure out the other day - but powering down takes like two years, I read. Not sure I read right - i don't know much about this kind of stuff, can you tell me what you mean?

I love Ed and his shows, too. Loved them on youtube before I found steemit. But this is not youtube, it is not facebook. This is a COMMUNITY and if Ed does not find ANYTHING or ANYONE in this community to be worthy of his support, well, I respectfully disagree and will not give him upvotes. I treat EVERY account here the same, if they are not engaged, actively supporting the people who are supporting them and this platform, I am not upvoting them.
For instance, I see you have a dynamicsteemians curation trail - good for you! I'm sure the people your curation trail supports are people who are on your curation trail supporting each other, right? Well, steemit is one BIG curation trail. If all you do is post, post, post, never support anyone else who is posting or even upvote the people who comment on your posts, would you take your curation trail over and vote for them? Maybe once if they did a really killer post, but... I would put Ed on my fanbase and autovote him if he were upvoting ANYONE. Larken Rose, Really Graceful, Josh Sigurdson... there are people here as big or bigger than Ed, he could at LEAST support them.

Really? I am not cranky at all. I have not asked anyone to do what I am doing, I have made no demands of Ed. I told him how I chose who I upvote. He is free to use that information however he chooses, including to ignore it. I did not unfollow him, I did not speak ill of him. Defensive much? Overprotective even? I did not harass or scold anyone, I said the same thing to all the people I follow. If they do not support anyone on the platform, I do not upvote them. You only noticed this one because Ed is "famous."
I actually love Ed and his shows. Im here because of him. He does great things for this platform everynight he brings people and other influencers here. Lay off the creator living out of a bus you are just being a bit aggresive here. Its not like he is a milllionaire with a big budget to create amazing content 6 days a week. He needs money to live and create content. Ed is someone i listen to reguarly for years now.
I love Ed too, followed him for years. Look, I made a decision about how I would spend MY vote. I could have just stopped upvoting Ed (and the others) but I made a decision to let them know WHY I was not upvoting them any more. You are really making a huge thing out of something that is not really about you, or even Ed, it is about how I use my votes. Peace, dude.
