YouTubepocalipse, rise of Steem?
Latest Logan Paul incident left youtube community with mixed feelings. On one hand, we have Logan fans supporting his every word and action and on the other, we have YouTubers questioning Youtube's lack of action. Just as a reminder, Logan Paul uploaded a video of him walking in Japan's "suicide forest" where he found and filmed body of a person that committed suicide. The video got 6 million views before Logan removed it, this statement followed shortly:
"I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity...I intended to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention and while I thought 'if this video saves just ONE life, it'll be worth it,' I was misguided by shock and awe, as portrayed in the video. I still am," Logan Paul via twitter
We also should have in mind that he uploaded the video with a thumbnail of a dead person with the blurred face. Many agreed that video was extra click-baity wich further invalidated his defensive apology.
Many also compare this incident with Pewdiepie situation and that two of the largest YouTubers are not treated the same. After a short period of time YouTube broke the silence:
"It's taken us a long time to respond, but we've been listening to everything you've been saying," the company said in a series of tweets. "We know that the actions of one creator can affect the entire community, so we'll have more to share soon on steps we're taking to ensure a video like this is never circulated again."
Now having in mind that video was removed by the uploader and not by YouTube's infamous algorithm, many are left unhappy with the YouTube's statement and lack of action.
YouTube has a long history of YouTuber's trying to figure out the algorithm and failed communication. Wich led to YouTuber's experimenting to learn the site's functionality instead of having clear guidelines of what an optimal video should look like for the best outcome.
With all these troubles over the past years, various YouTuber's are wondering is it even worth uploading on YouTube anymore but lack of an alternative platform that can match in size keeps them at bay, for now?
This definitely might be the start of a golden era for the crypto world in general, unless we watch it all crash as many banks try to kill cryptocurrency.

Youlube sux because the censorship and I hope it dies a slow miserable death.
Logan is a doucher and I personally think he's lame. He shouldn't have been banned as no one should. I hope he moves to D Tube and does even better than when he was on youlube.
Free speech is meant to protect unpopular speech. Popular speech, by definition, needs no protection. An American company should understand this but they're nothing but a tool of the government now, just like the CIA monitored facecrook. Hope fuckerberg's crap fails too.
Wow ok, I actually agree with the free speech bit, a lot of my favorite Youtubers where in some way limited by censorship. In those regards, D Tube has a lot of potentials to succeed and I hope it does.
