RE: Catalonia sets date for landmark vote on independence from Spain RT NEWS

in #news8 years ago

Scotland isn't going anywhere.

The Tories are already making thier bids to buy their "loyalty" and the Scots pretty much demonstrated they don't have to balls to go it alone in the last referendum.

Catalonia could be interesting though.

They pay the most into the Spanish system and get the least back out of it. And their economy has the best chance of generating enough cash flow to keep running, especially if they're not having to pay to support the rest of Spain.

Sort:

The vote from Thursday saw the Unionist vote save Theresa May's ass. The SNP lost 12 seats to the Tories and 21 overall b/c Nicola Sturgeon overplayed the 'We want to stay in the EU' card.

Then the DUP have their best showing ever.

Without those two things, the Tories can't form a government.

I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or not.

To be honest, I stopped following anyone's politics a few months ago, as far as I'm concerned, it's all political theater to keep the masses preoccupied.

With that said, Scottish secessionist dreams of swift independence vote dashed
