France is Just One win Away!! 2018 FIFA World Cup Semifinal France 1-0 Belgium

France will play in the World Cup Final for the first time since 2006 and is looking to win their second World Cup after 1998. The goal headed from France center back Samuel Umtiti makes the only different.

It was a pacy game with both teams taking turn to dominate the ball possession. Belgium came out lively and was the first to threaten down the flanks in the early minutes. France slowly regained their possession after the poor start. Both Keepers made a couple of great stops to put their team even going into the second half.

Second Half was more about France as Kylian Mbappe started to cause problem to Belgium defence with his pace, tiredlessly, as France Forwards Antonio Griezmann and Olivier Giroud linked well with the midfielder Paul Pogba at the offencive end. The Goal finally came at the 51st minutes. Umtiti leaped ahead of Fellaini at a corner to head home from Griezmann's delivery.

Since then, France started to defend and they had put a great defencive display. In fact they were the side which came closely to score with the counter attack. Belgium came out short on the other side

The game ended at 96 minutes. France marches to the Final and will meet the winner between England and Croatia.

Man Of The Match
In my Opinion, there are two nominees for this.: Griezmann and Pogba. Griezmann played well in setting the offence, threatening Belgium offence over and over with passes. Pogba did a great job in setting the tempo of the game and played great defencively.

The good and the bad of Olivier Giroud
As an Arsenal fan, Giroud often frustrates me with the chances he missed. France would have easily been 2 to 3 goals ahead if Giroud has managed to grab the scoring opportunity(especially the one set up by Mbappe Incredible backheel pass). However, the good side about him was his hardworking help defence.
