Some players selling 'Pokémon Go' accounts on eBay
It appears some sellers on eBay are hoping to cash in on the Pokémon Go phenomenon.
Several listings have popped up on the online marketplace for Pokémon Go accounts featuring a selection of already-captured Pokémon and higher-level trainers. The listings show trainers at levels in the high teens or 20s, with lists of the Pokémon characters captured.
Prices for the accounts vary. Some are available for more than $100, while one listing was set at $1,000.
Before getting too excited about the prospect of owning a souped-up Pokémon Go account, keep in mind some of these could just be scams set up to take advantage of Pokémon Go fever.
More than a week after launch, the game continues to remain popular. It's both the top free and top grossing app on both Apple's App Store and Google Play. It's topped more than 20 million downloads worldwide, according to research firm SensorTower.
