The US has begun coordinated military attacks on Syria, along with US allies Britain and France, to punish Syria and its President Bashar al-Assad for last week's chemical weapons attack. President Trump announced the strikes tonight, and says they are also meant to deter use of chemical weapons in the future. There are reportedly explosions being heard in Damascus.
