Facebook considering it's own cryptocurrency: Steemit celebrate 1million account.
Hey everyone, in less than four(4) years, steemit has achieved a milestone with a 1million account. Isn't that a success story so far? Slow and steady steemit is already setting a pace.
So I came across this piece of news on @bethwheatcraft's blogsome days ago, and I hurriedly went to shop for more details, lols, it was true that facebook is actually considering venturing into building it's own blockchain.
The information held that according to "Cheddar" it will be a way for the social network users and other established businesses to make electronic payments.
Efforts to achieve this has been set rolling already, as the head of facebook messenger has been appointed to lead a group to explore the many benefits of blockchain technology on facebook.
Yes, I take this news with every excitement because steemit has broken the monopoly.
Steemit may still be far from measuring up with facebook that already has billions of users account, but slow and steady, steemit will someday over take. Thanks goodness, 1million users account has been achieved.

Steem(it) is just 2 yrs old with 1 million accounts. If you were following & reading @steemitblog, you would have seen the update since about 2 days . Facebook's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, since the begining of this year, has been considering a crytocurrency for facebook. We'll see how it plays out as you've rightly stated. Cheers.

It would be foolish for Facebook to not try to build it's own blockchain and crypto. They have everything they need to help it adopt. Steemit is amazing, but it is hard to gain traction to make money and that turns some people away. The Steem blockchain could easily build enough dapps to dominate facebook and it's potential blockchain in the future. This whole thing is so interesting and I really appreciate the great blog. I'm hearing rumors that Facebook will try to buy out #Coinbase ::: hopefully those are just rumors though
