Argentinian flag snatched young man's life
A young man was killed in lightning while dragging the Argentine flag in the jackfruit tree in Baliachandi Bazar of Srivardi upazila of Sherpur district. The deceased was identified as Abdul Matin, 32, son of late Zahurul Haque of Baliachandi village.
This incident happened on Sunday afternoon 17th June.
According to police and witnesses, Argentina's teammate Matin went on to make Argentina Flag in the World Cup football on Sunday afternoon in the bamboo pole on a jackfruit tree in the vicinity of the house. But suddenly the bamboo poles fall on the 11,000-volt electric line passing through the tree. At this time, Abdul Matin suffered serious injuries while falling on the ground. After the locals rescued him to Sherpur District Hospital, the duty doctor declared him dead.
Servoddhi police officer-in-charge (OC) said. Rezaul Haque and Goshaipur Union Chairman SM Zubair Hossain confirmed the incident.
