For the first time in Greece a parliament has elected a woman to be the country's president

According to the International News Agency, a woman has been selected for the first time in the Greek parliament for the first time in the Greek parliament for the next five years. In the 300th House, 261 voted in favor of 63-year-old senior female judge Katerina Sakilaropolou.

Katerina Sakilaropolou also has a good reputation throughout the country because of her social work, which is why she was nominated by the ruling New Democratic Party, but the main opposition party also voted for her and only 37 votes were opposed.
