This Week in the Sndbox
Welcome to the 32nd State of the Sndbox newsletter! This past week, we presented out incubator to the CUNY Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism, creating inspiration for innovative journalism through the blockchain. Be on the lookout for the final broadcast of our recorded podcast with Life on the Blockchain at CUNY studios as we talked about steemit and @sndbox. Our monthly State of the Sndbox Competition also cuminated this week and we have our carefully selected list of winners below.

Life on the Blockchain Podcast interview with Sndbox
We had an awesome time doing Orlando and Luke's podcast about Life on the Blockchain that aims to converse with people who have "embraced blockchain technology and used it to create a positive impact, stimulating real world applications to the worlds of Art, Music, Culture, Financial Inclusion, Government, Non-Profits, Supply Chain and Media." The recording is on its way and we're excited for you guys to hear it!
Group Talk and Presentation to Fellows of the Tow-Knight Center of Entrepreneurial Journalism
This is the start of blockchain empowering focused, uncensored, and inspired content while giving value to journalistic integrity. We talked to a dozen journalists about the Steemit platform and how they can engage us in Sndbox. There were interesting presentations prior on other blockchain platforms. We had and awesome time and we look forward to organizing another gathering soon!

How Does an Upvote Work?
Yesterday, we shared an article all about upvotes and reward pools. When you click the upvote button you are telling the Steem Blockchain, “this is where I want X amount of the daily rewards pool to go.” The amount that you’re able to direct is totally dependent on the amount of Steem Power you have in your wallet. So the more SP you have, the more of the daily rewards pool you can direct to posts you like! Make sure to check out the post and let us know of other topics to explore!
