More 'nice children' adds stops to North Pole cargo flight

According to NAV CANADA a flight plan as been filed for an aircraft departing the North Pole on December 24, 2017. A number of stops have been added to this regular scheduled annual flight to millions of destinations in Canada and around the world. NAV CANADA says, "The pilot attributes this to an upward trend of 'nice children.' "

“The ‘Naughty to Nice’ ratio is always an important factor when planning this flight,” said an official from NAV CANADA. “It not only adds destinations, but it also increases the cargo which consists of many tonnes of brightly wrapped packages.”

I reached out to Ron Singer, National Manager, Media Relations with NAV CANADA to find out more. Due to privacy concerns he would not provide any further info on the illusive pilot.

I managed to track down some kids at a local mall who claim they had just spoken with the "jolly" pilot. They described him as "a big man with a white beard" and "wearing a red coat, red pants with a large black belt and black boots". He goes by the name Santa Claus

NAV CANADA did provide some information on the aircraft being flown on this flight;

“There is no point in speculating,” said a NAV CANADA spokesperson. “We can confirm that a flying sleigh led by nine reindeer will be departing the North Pole on Christmas Eve to deliver packages all around the world.

Rumor has it you have to be on Santa Claus' nice list and BELIEVE if you want the North Pole cargo flight to stop at your house. Don't forget to leave out a plate of milk and cookies to ensure the flight comes back next year.
