Canada's Bill C16 Dismantled in Closing Statement - Bill Still Passed

Professor Jordan B. Peterson and D. Jared Brown [litigation] appeared in the Canadian Senate to argue Bill C16; legislation that is "intended" to "protect a vulnerable group"; the transgender community. The Bill's method to "protect" these individuals is to enforce pronoun usage (a rather ridiculous approach already). Jordan Peterson has perhaps been the most prominent voice against the concept, albeit not the only voice against the idea (by far), and has made a very clear case as to why. Of course, this has gained him a negative reputation among the Social Justice crowd and the left in general (but what doesn't?), in which he confronts head-on.

Brown relentlessly pointed out issue after issue, flaw after flaw, and several contradictions found in C16. And Peterson's closing response dismantled the entire facade surrounding Bill C16; an authoritarian move against free and open speech in the guise of "protection". The hearing video is about an hour long, and it's pretty amazing to see how so many of the Senate members at the hearing either refuse to acknowledge, or are completely naive to the scope of Bill C16, and what it's passing would open the doors to.

The Bill passed the Senate, even after being thoroughly picked apart. If one cannot see the inherent danger of this, then they are blind or in denial. With this kind of legislation passed; the flood gates open. Where this is going to lead is outright silencing of political/governmental dissonance. Anything against a political party, or the government itself will be labeled hate speech, and off you will go. It will most definitely cross over to protect the mainstream media from critique. Newspapers, magazines...we've already seen YouTube fall to it, albeit willingly so that they could convert to Network Television...that's another story...but all forms of media, down to the individual, will become subject to this exploitative law as a means to silence.
