Pedophilia is not a nice topic. It is not a topic that anyone wants to read about or even know about. And that is part of the problem. Because of the aversion that all decent people have regarding the horrific crime of raping and torturing children, we are collectively allowing this to fester until it truly has become an epidemic. One child being raped and tortured is one too many. Lori Handrahan new book, "Epidemic America's Trade in Child Rape" must be read. This book is filled with facts that can no longer can be ignored. We cannot continue to avoid the subject and pretend that it is some weird conspiracy story. These horrible acts are being committed at an unbelievable rate.
It is hard to imagine how these peophiles became so vile that they enjoy hurting children in this way. I know that when I first heard about this, I was utterly shocked. The degree to which these activities have expanded and infiltrated our society is unbelievable. No school, no daycare, no court, no police jurisdiction, no military base, no government office, no hospital or doctor's office is safe. These predators network and protect each other. We must learn to recognize signs and be brave enough to stand up to protect our children.

This book gives valuable ideas and suggestions that we can all use to help to combat child rape and torture.

resteemed, I grew up with a pedophile for a stepfather and a mother who was an enabler...I will check out the book.
This is a difficult topic, no one wants to read about the problem or hear the stories because the topic goes against most humans ability to imagine something so monstrous.
I learned that there is a group of people who are either born or made that get sexually excited invoking fear and hurting people, especially vulnerable people.
The only way I see protecting children is education and avoiding placing children in situations where predators hunt...
Yes, what these "people" if you can call them people do is absolutely horrible. I have not been personally affected by this, thankfully. I hope you will share this book and videos and interview by Lori Handrahan.

Hi, thanks for posting this. I just found out about this via Mark Crispin Miller's website and am sharing it. I am a bit new to Steemit, and I don't see a resteem symbol on your post. I've resteemed others so I know what it looks like, but it's not here. Anyone know why that might be?
