China ready to pay damages
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China has to pay the most damages due to the UN sanctions imposed on North Korea. Nevertheless, Beijing will adhere to it.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Wei said in a Regional Security Forum in Manila on Monday, the new ban made it clear that North Korea has stood against one of the missile tests, including the international community including China.
Later, Wang Wie quoted a statement from the Chinese Foreign Ministry that China's economic relations with North Korea are long-standing, due to which Beijing will have to pay the ban this year.
Pyongyang has been banned by the United Nations Security Council's unanimous decision last Saturday after two successive ballistic missile tests last month. As a result of sanctions, the North Korean exports will fall by more than one-third of the revenue generated from exports every year, that is, approximately $ 100 million US dollars.
Wang Wei said China will play a role in implementing the sanctions imposed on North Korea just as before, for the protection of the international nuclear disarmament system and regional peace and stability.
