Declaration of Panama Papers JIT head in Dar's trial put off until Feb 8

The declaration of a star witness in the trial of previous fund serve Ishaq Dar – Joint Investigation Team head Wajid Zia – won't be recorded before Feb 8, as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) asked the responsibility court on Wednesday to order the applicable material from the Supreme Court before recording Mr Zia's announcement.

Catch prosecutor Imran Shafique documented an application under the steady gaze of responsibility judge Mohammad Bashir expressing that 26 out of 30 witnesses have officially recorded their announcements in the NAB reference against Mr Dar, and the leader of the JIT constituted by the SC to explore previous head administrator Nawaz Sharif and his family would be the arraignment's next witness.

The application was documented to secure records – which contain around 6,000 pages – from the SC, and clearly deferred Mr Zia's declaration, as the trial court would somehow or another have recorded his announcement his week.

Sources in the examination said the agency may document a supplementary reference against Mr Dar amid this period.

Catch moved the application when Judge Bashir requesting that they convey the observer to the witness box. After the application was documented, the judge deferred the issue until Feb 8.

The judge additionally said that if Mr Zia does not show up under the steady gaze of the court, it would issue a summons for him.

In its July 28, 2017 decision, the SC coordinated NAB to record four references – three against Mr Sharif and one against Mr Dar – in the responsibility court, and furthermore engaged NAB to document supplementary references.
