Throughout all these years, the protagonists have found love, have been parents, and have met some of their greatest idols, among other memorable moments of the series. Wheaton will return in an episode inspired by Dragons and Dungeons, so the most anticipated face-off is assured.

Howard and Raj embark on the formation of their own band, Footprints on the Moon. The duo specializes in writing and performing 'nerd rock', rock songs about their interests such as Marvel, Indiana Jones, Sherlock Holmes and scientific knowledge. Their performances are always extravagant, with witty lyrics and catchy melodies, which the fans expect to hear one last time before the end.

After twelve seasons, Penny's maiden name has never been mentioned. After marrying Leonard, she has adopted the name of Penny Hofstadter, but one of the most anticipated winks is the revelation of her original surname.

Sheldon and Amy are also husband and wife, co-workers, and winning the Nobel Prize for their discovery of super asymmetry would mean fulfilling one of Sheldon's dreams.

One of the longest running jokes in the series revolves around the elevator, which does not work since the first episode due to a strange scientific experiment. It would be a good way to finish the series surprise with the repaired elevator, and even see the characters use it for the first time.
