It's a real shame that Australia's politics has become MORE unstable since federation. That is the issue when we follow our 'Western partners' and yet reside in South East Asia. Once the umbilical cord has been cut from our UK & US 'partners' we may see Australian politicians finally develop some balls and work more cohesively within the region that we belong and not the region of our imperialist past. Time will tell.
