With 12 hours left we are now just 1% behind ETC!!!!
This very exciting vote is going down to the line it would seem. And Steem has gone from last place with 16% to a very close second place with 40% as you can see above.
What has been most evident watching this vote is that ETC has not risen at all since the opening day of this final week of voting. It has remained at 41%.

So it is clear that Steem has been growing steadily throughout the six day period.
And given that we still have 12 hours left, it has EVERY CHANCE now of overtaking ETC in the closing straight.
How have we achieved this?
Simply put, unlike any of the other coins we Steem users have the ability to interact and respond to situations like this as a community. This information and Twitter Link has been spreading its way around the Steemit community like a wildfire.
It has been resteemed, redesigned, and reposted by so many people.
This is why we have jumped from 16% to 40% over the last five days.
And it is also the reason why we are going to win this vote 12 hours from now.
WE ARE STEEMIT! One entity working together towards a common goal.
And this is our last chance to be a part of the growth of Steem.

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.
Not sure who it is, but ETC seems to have keep a stead flow of votes over the past week enough to keep it leveled. Steem rising all the way from last place, to being ahead, and now lagging behind just a little seems someone has a large interest in putting ETC on the exchange.
I hope that everyone get their friends and family outside of SteemIt to go and vote, make for a great talking point might be a way in these final hours to introduce SteemIt to others, or at least get them to help with the vote!
STEEMIT is such paradigm shift/mile stone on the internet,
especially that its NON-CENSURABLE that it MUST and WILL become HUGE in both crypto and especially news/awareness .

Well in my understanding isn't Etherium basically the crypto of choice for compiter science type folks to exchange work for crypto? I could be wrong this is just off memory but if thats the case than it is STEEMIT, US, the community versus a bunch of guys and gals that could very well create bots and programs to vote for Etherium because that would obviously be in their best interest right? Obviously whoever has the most of any cryptocurrency will want that one to succeed so its only natural. However as a day one miner of Dogecoin I do kind of wish those 3m Dogecoin I made that first week became valuable haha. But I am STEEM all the way. And I do believe that the community and as stated in the OP the community and the ability to communicate gives STEEM an advantage and gaining ~24% to a level Etherium does show that STEEM has, well, steam going into the home stretch. If I had a social media following like Twitter of Facebook I would definitely be pushing votes but I don't. I am more into the anonymous aspect of not giving the entire world all my information and location haha. But I do think STEEM will win this one despite what any other crypto community (if there even is one!) thinks and can do besides try to rig the vote :/
