The Boring Company

in #news7 years ago

After visiting SpaceX a half a dozen times in Hawthorne, I am in awe of everything Elon Musk does to advance human civilization. From SpaceX to Tesla to Solar City, and now: The Boring Company.

What started out as a way to stop having so many of his employees stop getting hit by cars crossing the street to work (and yes, it is a busy busy road), has now evolved in trying to go several miles in 5 minutes.

The Boring Company wants to build underground creations that people can ride at speeds up to to 150 mph, without ever encountering ANY traffic. But before it sinks its machines into the ground and tunnels to victory, the Boring Company has to do something truly monumental: get past local government. And this is as we know is NO easy task. Why is it that bureaucracy is so... bureaucratic?

Innovate or die. Period. Old constructs need to go. And that type of destruction I can get behind.

It truly is remarkable how he is able to dedicate his time to so many billion dollar companies. The techchat team actually wrote an article about what Elon Musk's typical day looks like here if you'd like to check it out!

Here is a cool video of the Hyperloop he is working on. It's quite remarkable.

I love Elon Musk and everything he does. Possibly one of my favorite humans at the moment.

Elon Musk would give a great example if able to execute (both engineering and legal)

Thanks for sharing this news..I appreciate your this post..

Another benefit would be noise reduction. Could image how quiet the city would be at night? Visiting a city, I have trouble sleeping because the noise from the traffic.
I wonder what other ideas Mr. Musk is going to share with us.
