Liberating Deir ez-Zor: Civilians & chief commander recall ISIS-attack & 3-year siege



The Islamic State’s grip on Syria is rapidly collapsing – with no major city remaining under the full control of the terror group.

One of the main fronts is Deir ez-Zor - where the Syrian army is now close to pushing IS out of the city. Locals have already started to return – after a 3-year siege was broken with the help of Russian air power. RT managed to talk to the base's chief commander.
