Fortnite developer is giving away 100 million USD
Epic games, the developer of the famous Fortnite videogame, will be giving away a total of 100 million USD during its first competitive season. An absolute record in the world of e-games.
The grand total will be spread out over the course of the 2018-2019 season. The previous record of 37 million USD was held by the Dota 2 videogame.
Fortnite was only released in July of 2017, but already counts more than 45 million subscribers. The concept of this third-person shooter is to survive as long as possible after being dropped on an island with 99 other players.
