North Aceh Police Chief: This is Rencong Land, Not Bencong Country

North Aceh Police Chief AKBP Untung Sangaji continues to socialize anti lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) in north Aceh

Today, the man whose name skyrocketed after shooting dead terrorist in Sudirman area, Thamrin Street, Central Jakarta, was socializing anti-LGBT in SMAN 1 Tanah Jambo Aye, Friday (9/2/2018).

Previously, Untung shaved 12 men's hair (transvestites) and closed salons in North Aceh became viral in social media. Human rights activists in Jakarta protested the action.

However, Untung has the support of thousands of Acehnese, including Governor Irwandi Yusuf related to the action of curbing salon and waria counseling in Aceh.

"First do not my children. You all take drugs, not close anyway. Danger, breaking that law. Second, this land of rencong land, not a bencong country, LGBT it can be cured, "he said.

He explained that he had talked with a number of scholars in Aceh about the action of developing transvestites.

"I ask the clergy for men and women there is prayer. If for waria there is no prayer. With that, I arise the intention to discipline, do not change your nature, "he said.

He also said the Shari'a of Islam should be upheld in Aceh according to the qanun (local regulations) that have been approved by the government.

"Do not change your character and do not try to change the Veranda of Mecca. Aceh rencong land is not a bencong land, "he said.

On the same occasion, Untung provided scholarships for two students, namely Rinatul Mauzirah and Zainuddin. Both are achievers and come from poor families.

Previously reported, Untung AKBP action became viral in social media after a number of mass media wrote its action to build 12 waria in North Aceh.
