The building collapsed in the building of the five-seat district council at Gafargaon in Mymensingh. A worker named Jahan Ali (25) was killed. Eight workers injured in the accident

The house of Jahan Ali was killed in the village of Challapur in Durgapur upazila of Netrokona. The injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after admission in Gofargaon Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge of Gofargaon Police Station Mohammad Abdul Ahad Khan said a section of the building collapsed during the closing ceremony of the five-seat auditorium building of Mymensingh District Council under the construction of the Police Station under the police station at Kafir Ismael Road under Gafargaon municipality. 9 workers were injured in the press. Rezaul Karim, station master of Gofargaon Fire Service, said the rescue work was completed by 1:00 pm. But the rescue work was completed because there was no worker under the roof collapsed. He said that the roof collapses happened due to the error of construction of the building.

Mymensingh Zilla Parishad was constructing a two-story building of the 500-odd auditorium at a cost of 6 crore 71 lakhs. The contractor firm, Measure Ratan Enterprises, No statement of contractor was found in this regard.
