32 Years of Living Together, This Elephant Kicked His Coach to Killed
The murder case by an elephant is happening again. After a Thai man was kicked to death by his own pet elephant, there is now a coach who was killed while training the velvet animal.
Launched from the page AsiaOne, Wednesday (29/11/2017), a 32-year-old male elephant suddenly attacked his own coach at Chiang Mai Zoo, Thailand.
Wuttchichai Moungman, the Zoo's President Director, said a senior trainer named Somsak Riang-ngern died being attacked by an elephant he trained.
The attack took place on a hill outside the zoo area on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 08.00 local time.
The elephant named Plai Ekkasit, who weighs five tons, struck Somsak who wanted to feed the animals.
"With such a large body size, Somsak can not do anything about it, he is dead on the spot," Wutthichai said.
Since childhood, the elephant has been treated by Somsak. So he never imagined the threat he would encounter in the face of Plai.
Wutthichai said the tragedy had left many zoo staff depressed. Now, the elephant is tied with a strong chain in a forest so as not to endanger many people.
Representing the zoo, Wutthichai extends his condolences to the Somsak family who live in the Surin region.
