(1) The net outflow of EOS funds was nearly 80 million, and the net inflow of ETH funds exceeded 80 million.
(2) The Canadian Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) announced today that it will participate in international efforts to combat fraudulent ICOs and cryptocurrency related investment products, coordinated by the North American Securities Management Association (NASAA). As part of the North American Securities Management Association’s Operation Cryptosweep initiative, BCSC has sent letters to 12 offshore companies asking them to stop the activity. These companies previously advertised their ICOs or allowed residents to participate in their ICOs. The BCSC also issued a warning last week recommending that investors be cautious when investing in cryptocurrencies.
(3) Thailand's Krungsri Bank Successfully Conducts International Remittance Tests Using Blockchain. Krungsri Bank is the fifth largest bank in Thailand, used the cutting-edge technology Krungsri Blockchain Interledger to successfully complete real-time international remittance testing from Thailand to Singapore. The pilot test was conducted with the joint efforts of Mitsubishi Corporation Bank and Chartered Bank of Singapore.
(4) The British government’s newly established cryptocurrency task force met for the first time on May 21 to agree on the three major objectives of the working group before assessing whether cryptocurrency and blockchain industries require any regulatory regulations: Exploring the impact of encrypted assets; Understand the benefits and challenges that blockchain technology brings to financial services; if needed, assess what kind of regulation is needed. Ramsden, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, said that this special task force will allow the central bank to work closely with the Ministry of Finance and the FCA to discuss how to achieve the opportunities brought about by blockchain technology while addressing the risks posed by encrypted assets.
