WhatsApp: Justice RJ sends block application in Brazil

Facebook refused to give information to a police investigation.

Justice of Rio de Janeiro decided that WhatsApp is blocked throughout Brazil, GloboNews reported on Tuesday (19); see report in the video above. A notification was sent to the telephone companies after Facebook refuses to comply with a court order and provide information to a police investigation.

The decision by Judge Daniela Barbosa sends operators suspend access immediately. According to connection providers were notified of the decision around 11:30.
