Manchester United target Malcom has fuelled speculation over a move to Old Trafford from Bordeaux after it was revealed he is taking English lessons.
The young Brazilian forward, who has lit up the French league this season with seven goals so far, is said to have been readied by Jose Mourinho for a move to England.
The Red Devils manager has, according to Goal, lined up a £40m bid for the 20-year-old this month amid interest from rival Premier League clubs Arsenal and Spurs. Since arriving from Corinthians in 2016, he has enjoyed an explosive rise to the top, having been involved in 11 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season – already equalling the number of goals and assists that he managed at the end of last term.
These are the kinds of performances are said to have attracted the attention of Mourinho, who reportedly believes the No.7 could provide the “missing piece” in United’s attack after last summer’s failure to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
And Malcom might have dropped a huge clue that he is bound for the top-flight of English football by posting a picture of himself studying English on his Instagram account.
Malcom posting on his Instagram story that he was apparently taking English lessons sent Manchester United fans into a flurry, some of whom have taken it as a sign he will be joining their club imminently.
