Facebook will change the principle of forming a news feed of users, giving priority to the records of their friends and limiting the number of publications from business, brands and the media.

This was announced by the founder and head of the social network Mark Zuckerberg.

He explained that the company began to receive more complaints from users of Facebook that commercial public content supersedes news tapes of relatives and friends.

In Facebook, it was clarified that the type of content and how users react to it will affect the frequency of displaying public page entries in the stream. If the publication does not receive a response or comment, then such pages will be less often displayed in the stream.

Recode journalists suggest that reducing the time spent on Facebook may not please the company's investors. The more time users spend on Facebook, the more advertising they see, therefore, the social network earns more money, explains the publication.
