I'm Polish, situation is very bad :( it's progressing into more tolerance but still so backwards and unfair towards gay community. It breaks my heart to see how many gay people aren't accepted only by the fact they're homosexual.
Yes, unfortunately all ex-socialist countries in Eastern Europe suffer from the same problems. As I know, there is a strong negative influence of Catholic church in Poland toward gay people :(
it is indeed :( we do have occasional gay prides in Warsaw, the capital, but they are usually disturbed by homophobic crowd. :(
