Germany: Bayern spread in Munich, the historical fall of Hamburg

It was not a successful end to the season for Bayern Munich. German champions lost to VfB Stuttgart 1: 4 (1: 2) in the match ending the Bundesliga season. Robert Lewandowski did not manage to score 30 goals in the competition for the third time in a row, but with the achievements of 29 goals he won the third crown of the shooters in his career. They ended the season in terrible moods in Hamburg - HSV scored for the first time in history from the Bundesliga. In the Champions League - next to Bayern - Schalke, Hoffenheim and Borussia Dortmund will perform.

The fans of Bayern did not imagine the season's finals. The Munichers went to Stuttgart in the strongest line-up, and finally to the left-wing reserve role Robert Lewandowski. The Pole had a clear goal - to score and finish the game with 30 goals scored. It would be the third consecutive year for him, which is a great achievement. Unfortunately, "Lewy" could only be satisfied with the effective, though probably quite accidental, assistance.

In the 21st minute Lewandowski got the ball in the penalty box and with Ron-Robert Zieler in front of him, he tried to pass him the "roulette". The goalkeeper of the VfB, however, intervened, kicking Polak, and Corentin Tolisso caught the ball with the sole. A good shot was just a formality.

Quite unexpectedly, it was the only moment of joy for Bayern fans, because Stuttgart was hit again and again. The deadly performance of the guests was counterattack - until the first three goals scored by Daniel Ginczek, Anastasios Donis and Chadraca Akolo fell after such actions. When in the 55th minute Ginczek reached the goal of the ball that Sven Ulreich released, it turned 1: 4 and it was certain that Bayern would not finish the season with a victory.
Robert Lewandowski tried to hit Stuttgart on several occasions, but Zieler was the winner of those duels. Nothing, of course, changed in the fight for the title of the king of shooters, which the Pole won with a gigantic advantage. On the 29th goal of the "Left", the second in the Nils Petersen classification from Freiburg responded with only fifteen hits.

In the fight for the Champions League, the status quo has been preserved in relation to the table after the 33rd round. The difference is that Hoffenheim, winning with Borussia Dortmund 3: 1 (1: 0), pushed Yellow-Black to fourth place. Defeat by one goal less guaranteed Lukasz Piszczek's team (90 minutes) bronze medals. The goal on the podium's weight was scored in the 73rd minute by Pavel Kaderabek, who shoved the ball into the net in a huge sweat. Earlier, Andrej Kramaric and Adam Szalai were coming for the hosts and Marco Reus for the visitors.

The victory of the Villagers meant that Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig could not be placed in the Champions League. Both teams finished the season with victories (respectively 3: 2 over Hannover and 6: 2 over Hertha in Berlin), but this allowed only for securing a place in the Europa League. VfB Stuttgart will also play in these competitions, but on condition that Bayern in the German Cup final, ogra Eintracht Frankfurt.

There was no miracle at the bottom of the table. Hamburg still had a mathematical chance to maintain, but to play in play-offs, two conditions had to be met - the HSV had to beat Borussia Moenchengladbach, and Wolfsburg had to lose with the already degraded FCK Koeln. Only the first of these conditions was achieved - Hamburg won 2: 1 (although the match was broken after the 90th minute due to the riots and the result could be credited), but because of the victory VfL 4: 1 said goodbye to the first league. This is the first such situation since the 1963/64 season, so the team from North Germany will cease to be the only one that has always played in the Bundesliga since it was founded. Wolfsburg, in the colors of which Jakub Błaszczykowski played the last 20 minutes, will play in playoffs for the second year in a row. This time, the Wolves will face this year's 2nd Bundesliga, Holstein Kiel.

In the remaining matches of the last round Freiburg won against Augsburg 2-0, Mainz lost to Werder Bremen 1: 2, and Schalke Gelsenkirchen was sealed by German runner-up winning 1: 0 over Eintracht Frankfurt.
