Microsoft has written backdoors into all of their products for the governments of the world (i.e. US, Iran, UK, etc.) to spy on what their citizens do, in say, MS Word, MS Powerpoint, and more importantly, Windows Operating Systems. The backdoors allow spying, which logically, lead to the deaths of those deemed "unfriendly" to the government.

I am sure that is why the company is so highly valued, amongst the most highly valued in the world. And of course founder of it all is going to talk his book, what else would be expected? That is where his bread is buttered.
