Although there is no doubt that autonomous driving has become one of the future priorities of virtually all brands, people on the street still see it as something far away.
Among other reasons because the components needed by autonomous vehicles are very delicate and expensive, which makes the final price of these vehicles away from our harsh reality.
Now the German manufacturer Bosch is developing a low-cost LiDAR sensor, which will allow its installation in all types of vehicles.
According to some sources, if an average sensor is around 10,000 euros per unit, manufacturing hundreds of thousands of units, the cost could be about 200 euros per unit.
This would already allow its installation in virtually any vehicle on the market, accelerating the implementation of autonomous driving a little more.
