A Topic We Can All Agree On: North Korea

in #news7 years ago

Is North Korea a real problem or a real distraction?

I have a theory that I think is getting more solid everyday. Every super power has proxy countries; these countries are used to further the super power's agendas. North Korea is a proxy country for China, pretty sure everyone will agree with me on this point, but if not let me know why you don't.

The U.S. has a few interesting proxy countries, one of which is the Philippines. Rodrigo Duterte the president of the Philippines has an interesting interview where he essentially says the U.S. is trying to get me to attack China. (I'll put the video in the references, very reveling video that gets into many subjects that are extremely interesting)

Back to North Korea:
Why would North Korea start test firing missiles once again?

  1. New ruler in North Korea wants a goal? (certainly possible)
  2. China advised North Korea to restart testing? (doesn't sound likely, but China feeds and arms North Korea)

What's the Media Saying?
I haven't watch or read everything on North Korea for the last 6 months, but I've watched and read a decent amount. The only reasoning I hear is that Kim Jong-un is a mad man and that's why he's testing missiles and making threats. This reasoning by the Media is a form of lazy side stepping around the motive of North Korea's actions.

What Do I Think?
North Korea is acting as a distraction to force the U.S. into a weak negotiating position with China on trade. If the U.S. has to change gears from a single topic $500,000,000,000 trade deficit to we need China to get North Korea to back down...China can come back and say, "we'll help with North Korea, but we need some time on this trade issue."

What's the worst case for China? North Korea has bombs dropped on it. You think China wouldn't allow a hundred thousand North Koreans to die for $500 Billion a year? Kim Jong-un most likely has killed that many for $0 already. China is very smart, they know all they need to do is delay and wait this out and war puts a great delay on trade contracts. After 8 years the U.S. will get another puppet president and China can rest easy again on trade.

Sounds like some solid analysis to me and a point of view I haven't heard. We'll see how things share out in the coming months

thanks, yeah interested to see what else occurs, looks like Trump already pushed a speech/discussion on China trade issues that was supposed to be last week. Then we see China vote in the UN for sanctions against NK. Very interesting how that worked out.

Yeah I really think you are on to something here. I'm going to start watching for events like you just mentioned to see if that is how things are playing out.

Very interesting insight here. All about Trade wars, and China. Thanks. Upvote, and RESTEEM. Cheers. Now following.
