New Zealand legalizes the use of cryptocurrencies for the payment of salaries
The legislation published on August 7 indicates that the payment in cryptocurrency regularly represents a fixed part of the salary of employed persons, excluding the self-employed from potential recipients. The regulation also indicates that crypto assets can be converted directly into a fiat currency and the value thereof linked to one or more fiat currencies.

The Department of Internal Revenue issued that as of September 1 and for a period of 3 years it will be legal to pay the salary of employed persons in crypto assets.
This makes New Zelanada the first country to legalize the payment of salaries in cryptocurrencies.
