On the 16th of July, six people were killed. Despite this, the state did not stop the killings. Abu Saeed believed that no one would kill him from such close range. When people can live with such trust, it's called a state. Bangladesh was also built on this trust. The constitution's preamble states that we, the people of Bangladesh, have established the People's Republic of Bangladesh. One of its primary goals is to establish a socialist society free from exploitation through democratic means, where the rule of law, fundamental human rights, and political, economic, and social equality, freedom, and justice are guaranteed for all citizens. The people create this state; therefore, it must uphold the right to life and justice for the people. The government has not been honouring this confidence and constitutional commitment. This July, that was pointed out boldly to us. If the government had respected the people's minimum right to live, why did so many people die after the 16th? Why are people dying today?

They imposed a curfew, shut down the internet, and despite knowing the high death toll, they cried over government installations, started arresting ordinary people indiscriminately, raided homes at night like the Pakistani occupation forces, abducted coordinators from hospitals and forced them to call off the movement, brutally tortured and arrested those demanding justice, disregarded people's minimal right to privacy by checking their all information. Even though it's illegal, they did it openly in front of the media. Despite explicit orders from the high court, people are being extensively tortured in remand. They can't even provide a specific number of how many people have died.

When all the laws, justice, and principles of the country are disregarded, and people are killed without justice, it becomes a duty to protest. #SaveBangladeshiStudents
