Meme Police: The Mininum Wage Crank
What skills are you learning while turning the crank?
Not customer service, not working with teams, not prioritizing food orders to be served concurrently with other orders from that table, not networking within an industry, not how to count money, not how to bring value to others, not how to be disciplined to show up to work on time, not team accomplishment.
Nope, keep turning that crank though. It's about as valuable as your argument.
Interesting... have you ever seen the episode from the "Black Mirror" series called "Fifteen Million Merits?"
I haven't seen the show. Not a big TV watcher unfortunately.
Short version-- a dystopic future in which people earn their keep daily by sitting on stationary bicycles, generating electricity. Working harder and longer "earns" you the right to not be bombarded with constant advertising and "penalties."
Sounds awesome. Gonna look for the audiobook!
