CEASELESS MONSOON RAIN REALLY CAUSED A PROBLEM THIS YEAR TOO
The western part of Nepal has been badly affected due to ongoing continuous rain. There are numerous floods and landslides at different places. Myagdi district is the worstly affected district as of now. More than 1000 people have been compelled to leave their shelter due to destruction of their home by these natural calamities. Many houses have collapsed in Kathmandu valley too due to poor urban planning.
More than 40 people have been dead as of now and 60+ peoples are missing. The water level has risen in Koshi river, the largest river of Nepal. There are currently 56 gates in the barrage which strongly holds water and do not let that water flow to India. If the water rises above the bridge then Nepalese side have to open the door and in that case Bihar of India would be in a serious problem due to flood and landslide.
Moreover, the blockage of East-West highway due to flood and landslide had created a difficult problem for the transportation of goods and people across the country. Trucks like these carry all the imported goods from India which includes medical supplies, food, fruits, grocery items, clothes and many others. The petroleum products come to valley and other districts through this very same road.
