In recent developments Coinbase Custody has been exploring the possible addition of many crypto assets, designated for storage purposes only. They will be working to add them as quickly and safely as possible. In the meantime, they have not yet considered any of these assets for trading. The announcement comes internally from Coinbase to the public. To avoid situations, like the bitcoin cash fiasco, Coinbase plans to remain fully transparent with their customers about support for any future assets.

The list is as follows:

Coinbase Custody is a custodial service for institutional clients. It is optimized for storing large amounts of cryptocurrency in a very secure way. As stated before, Coinbase Custody will likely support more assets than those currently available to trade through other Coinbase products. Coinbase states:
"Asset additions to Coinbase Custody have no bearing on whether they will be added to other Coinbase products."

Asset additions for trading must pass their rigourous Digital Asset Framework. As part of Coinbase's exploratory process, customers can view public-facing APIs and other signs that they are conducting engineering work to support more assets. While Coinbase cannot commit to when or whether these assets will become available on Coinbase Custody, They will provide updates to their customers about the process and what they can expect via their Twitter account.
