How do you get your news?
I was a big newspaper reader, getting one delivered in the morning then hubby bringing the evening Newspaper in at tea time. Cup of coffee in the morning reading the latest news was my daily routine then sitting down after tea to read the local paper. Now I am lucky to read one paper a week, I hate the tabloids, the only thing there good for us holding my chips from the chip shop but now there not even good enough for that. There full of lies, biased to one group and full of bad news. I like to pick and choose what news I read about, I'm not always in the mood to read more about our Prime minister, I need Vodka for that.
Todat I get the news I want from a quick flit through Facebook, if there's something that catches my eye or there is a big story I will then go search it via Google.
I get all my results from football scores, x factor and other shows via Facebook. That is the only thing I really like about Facebook your kept upto date with what's going on plus spoilers about the shows I watch.
I don't miss the newspapers at all. I did used to Enjoy one on A Sunday morning with the free magazine but now that's gone too.
I will still watch the Evening News on TV but they're as biased as the newspapers now sticking with one political group and only telling you what they want you to know.
I want to be able to read about the truth, I want to see the news from all sides so I can make my own mind up, I would also love to read about good news and good people.

Ya, Facebook for me. Sometimes I think I'd never know about it if something huge is happening, then I remember I would see the Facebook posts. I kind of wish I could dial out of all of it but I'm addicted to scrolling through the feed xO
I do find Facebook keeps me up to date with what's going on :)

I read 7 on-line newspapers and watch various newscasts on TV, well aware of the bias of each one. I saw so many spurious YouTube videos during the election and false Facebook postings that I distrust the factual basis of the Internet. I think the real question Karen is what or who is your authority? We're all under the influence of somebody all of the time. Good post!
I haven't a clue I just read that I Am interested in. I follow politics here in the UK not sure if I understand it all, seems you have to be a liar and a cheat, politicians do my head in lol
UK politics and the tabloids are annoying. But on the plus side, you have Will, Kate, George, Charlotte and Harry...that's mostly good news in my opinion :)

After I was involved with several stories that the "news papers" printed up, and found the huge gulf between what they said and what really happened, I started having my doubts.
Then there was this video on thouTube. Something like 10 stories that weren't published in 2013 (or something). These were 10 ultra, front page, top of the fold news stories that weren't ever reported on! I was aghast!
Yeah that sounds more like it. Telling you what they want you to know, Its time this changed
