BANDA ACEH - Fire destroyed a wooden house on stilts on Jalan Prof. Ali Hasjmy, Meunasah Tuha Village, Gampong Ilie, Ulee Kareng Sub-District, Banda Aceh City, Friday night, June 15, 2018 at around 9:15 p.m.
The Head of the Banda Aceh City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP), M Nurdin said, the house belonged to Burhanuddin (45 years). At the time of the incident, the owner was not in place because he was visiting relatives.

Nurdin said, people who saw this incident tried to help extinguish the fire with makeshift equipment while other residents contacted the fire department.
Nurdin added, based on fire information received at the office of the Banda Aceh City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP) via emergency number 0651 - 44123 at 9:15 a.m., he immediately assigned the mobile ticket officers to deploy 7 units of fire extinguishers to the location.
When the fleet approached the location of the fire, the firefighters contacted the PLN to help with power outages so that officers and the fleet arrived at the location at 9:20 p.m. and immediately extinguished the fire, he explained.
He mentioned that the fire had been extinguished at 9:40 p.m. and then it was cooled down. Until now, the cause of the incident is unknown.
The homeowner was aware of his house's fire because he was called by a neighbor, and his neighbors did not know for sure the origin of the fire so that the house was burned, Nurdin said.
