Buhari's aide, Onochie, still attacks CAN, says the group behind the killing of Catholic priests

President Muhammadu Buhari's special assistant on social media, Lauretta Onochie again accused the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) of being a "bloodsucker parasite" in its desperation to fuel the nation's crisis.
Onochie, in a long post on his Facebook page, entitled 'Christian Association of Nigeria not in talking terms with God' called CAN the Cankerworm Association of Nigeria and accused them of deceiving their followers and working with criminal elements, the Democratic Party Popular, PDP, in the plunder of resources in the country.

He accused the CAN of having a hand in the death of two Catholic priests in Benue to attract Catholics back to the association, adding that they were friends of those raiders as herdsmen on "Killing Spree".

The POST newspaper recalls that two priests and faithful were murdered in the Catholic church of St. Ignatius, Ayar in the state of Benue, while they were praying for a solution to the killings in the state, when the alleged herdsmen hit.

The post reads in part: "This piece has nothing to do with the millions of Christians in Nigeria who love the Lord with all their heart and their neighbor as themselves, as commanded by our Lord, Jesus Christ.
