Four students were killed and 20 others were injured after a train collided with a school bus, half of them in southern France, AFP reported on Friday.

The train collided with the bus yesterday, carrying about 20 pupils between the ages of 13 and 17 at a railway junction in the eastern region of Perinia near the border with Spain, the agency said.

The agency confirmed that the Directorate of Eastern Pyrenees, announced in a statement published in the early hours of Thursday, that there are four deaths and 10 people in a state of emergency and a maximum of ten others in a relative emergency, and were transferred to hospitals in the region.
