Yesterday, I was viewing a story on the BBC titled 'How Late is too Late?' A member parliament in the UK offered to resign due to arriving late, due to the fact that he should have been somewhere to answer a question, but wasn't. The BBC article continues by asking five journalists from different countries their opinions on punctuality.
The journalists' points of view are interesting but it raised several questions for me. Maybe everyone can help by contributing answers:

1. Is it fair to categorise an entire country to be either punctual or not?
2. In some countries are there variations between different regions?
3. How would you describe punctuality in your country/region?
4. Do you have a particularly strong opinion about how things are in another country?

Let's see if there is a general consensus or wildly different opinions...

Also, if you have an amusing anecdote about timekeeping please add (it's always good to include some humour in a debate)
