Thai granny completes university degree at 91

He completed a degree in Thai Granny University
A 91-year-old woman from Thailand says that her "Bachelor's Degree" was completed more than 10 years after she "did not study too much". He talked with the BBC's Shakhirat Thongate of Thailand.

Kimlan Jinakul always wanted to go to the university but was not the only chance as a young girl.

But after almost a year and after seeing most of his own children through the university, he decided to enroll and presented his degree on Wednesday Wednesday.

Kimlan originally comes from northern Lampang province of Thailand. She was a smart student and went to one of her best schools in the province.

But there was no substitute for going to university, and after marrying her family from Bangkok, she married and left her dream to study more.

"I always wanted to study my children, so if I want to go to the university, I encourage them and support them."

Four of his five children earned master's degree and one went to pursue a PhD in the US.

And it was his kids' academic experience which eventually led him to register his own name.

A good and happy life

When one of his daughters - who were already working in the hospital - Sukhotham took a course at Thomastir Opsy University, and Kembalan wanted to go to the board.

He gave the first name at the age of 72, but with sadness he was studying with the daughter's death. Kimlan certainly went out of the course for several years.

At 85, she returned for the second shot and recorded a degree in the human environment - she is a program that will teach her to save her good and happy life.

He told the BBC, "After being rescued from loss and sorrow, I pushed myself to finish the program. I hope my daughter's spirit will be happy to see it," he told the BBC.

During his year of study, his daily routine arose early and begged Buddhist monks, then visited a neighboring temple and finally sit and study.

"It's not too late. My mind is always awake and sharp for the sooner," Kimlan said.

He said, "This world will never stop, there is always a solution to our new problem. If there is no new science, then the world will not be rich".

Formula for success

Asked about the secret of success, he said, it is firmness and ambition that he got so much for it.

"When I told myself to finish a chapter, I did my best to do that. I painted all the important points needed to remind me.

"When I passed, I was happy and I failed, so I went through the tests until I left," he laughed.

So now what is the plan that he got his degree?

"I do not think anyone would try to find me a job if I look for a job," he was surprised.

"I'll take care of my grandchildren only."
